Deborah is the owner of Fig Industries and the Director of Fig Lancaster. She has been in the design industry for more than 25 years, working for brands such as Ralph Lauren, Givenchy, and Christian Dior. Her love for exceptional visual communication is fueled by a passion for people and places. She is at her best when she is out in the community and is always up for a good brainstorm session. When not at work, you can find her hanging out with her family, volunteering, or exploring interesting cities.

Abraham Maslow said, "You will either step forward into growth, or you will step back into safety." Matt's job at Fig Industries is to continually and strategically move the company and its people forward. He's fortunate to be able to look at the company through a different lens as he doesn't have a creative bone in his body. With over 20 years of corporate marketing and product management experience, he's charged with forging new and bold initiatives, data and financial analysis, as well as setting the stage for team member growth.

A former Downtown Lancaster small business owner and leader in The Lancaster Campaign's way finding program, Lisa and her husband have enthusiastically returned to the Lancaster community recently after some years away. Now that they are back in the community they love, her husband is overseeing a nonprofit focused on community development, and Lisa is thrilled to be part of creating positive community change in her Fig role. Chances are you'll bump into Lisa at a local restaurant, festival, farmers market, music concert, or vintage flea market

Kate Hughes is a photographer, writer, actor, comedian, and radio personality, and has been a fixture in the Lehigh Valley community since 2002. Originally from Philadelphia, Kate fell in love with the area while attending Cedar Crest College, where she earned a Bachelor of Art and Fine Arts as well as a Master’s in Business Management. Kate was involved with Fig on the client side for almost six years and is grateful to have now joined the Fig team.

Jason believes design is a gift that cultivates beauty in every aspect of life. With 10 years of experience, he has honed his skills in corporate, educational, and private design environments. As Fig’s Creative Director, he uses his curiosity in creative systems and human interaction to craft strong brands. Jason is a superhero expert and sartorial enthusiast. When he is not designing, he can often be found collecting fashionable accessories, or listening to a thoughtful podcast. Jason lives in Lancaster with his lovely wife and two dogs.

Michael Lebson is both an artist and a champion for others. His lifelong career as a visual artist began in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he was born and raised. After stints in NYC and Harrisburg, he returned to the Lehigh Valley in 2017—sparking a chain reaction that established him in the community as a friend, collaborator, and advocate. Michael has graced the pages of Fig over the years as an artist, and now relishes the opportunity to encourage people's success across all disciplines as Operations Coordinator for Fig Lehigh Valley.

As the Graphic Designer at Fig Industries, Kaylee’s passions lie with her creative side. She graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology with a B.S. in Graphic Design. There, she developed her love of tactile design and appreciation for hands-on learning. She enjoys traditional art, such as drawing and painting, listening to alternative music, and spending time with her favorite canine.

Born and raised in Lancaster County, Heather found the delightful charm of Lancaster calling her back home after graduating from Tyler School of Art at Temple University. Heather has a true passion for people, which helps her shine at Fig Industries as she interacts with clients and helps bring their vision to life. When she’s not admiring her latest plant addition or baking up a sweet treat, she’s usually on the search for a new hidden gem in the city or dreaming up her next traveling adventure.

Kylie loves telling the stories of people who are making a difference in the Lancaster community. Kylie previously interned for Fig while attending Millersville University. After graduating with a degree in Public Relations, Kylie joined Fig’s digital content team where she helps to cultivate Fig’s voice and online presence. In her free time, you will find Kylie writing from local coffee shops, running her wedding filmmaking business, reading a good book, or sipping a gin & tonic from one of Lancaster's rooftop bars.

Over the past decade, Will has held the roles of graphic designer and user experience designer at various startups, agencies, and organizations. Through these roles, he’s led the design of award-winning magazines, large-scale websites, and mobile apps. He finds joy in every creative challenge and is inspired to create beautiful and engaging design solutions for meaningful brands. In his free time, Will enjoys performing improv, traveling, and searching for his new favorite shirt.

Cara is passionate about a lot of things, including (but not limited to): small business, Lancaster City, a good cup of coffee, sunshine, and the Oxford comma. With her background in social media and journalism, she loves stewarding the Fig Voice as Managing Editor and taking brands and businesses we work with to the next level across Fig channels. You’ll find her out and about on the weekends—tracking down happy hours, festivals, and new places to explore.

As a lifelong resident and supporter of Lancaster County, Bill came out of retirement for the opportunity to work for Fig Industries because he was inspired by Fig’s support of Lancaster businesses and mission of “designing for good.” Between his service as a founding board member of the Lancaster County Commissioners’ Agricultural Preserve board and his previous positions as chair of the Manheim Township Planning Commission and president of several construction trade organizations, Bill has a long history of investing in smart growth.

Lisa is the Account Director who helps our clients develop strategies and tools for moving their brands forward through thoughtful planning, effective positioning, and great design. She has spent 25+ years in marketing management positions at agencies, fortune 500 companies, and within the hospitality, entertainment, and architectural industries. Her passions are championing talent and delivering wow-worthy work to clients. In her spare time she likes to decipher poetry, garden, and spend time with her family.

Matthew began his career in photojournalism in the L.A. area and has over two decades of photography experience. Now residing in Lititz with his wife and two sons, he specializes in location and portrait photography for corporate, advertising, and design clients. Matthew is most inspired by the personalities of the people he photographs and seeks to convey a story and a feeling through his images. He has been partnering with Fig Industries, creating photo magic, for over 5 years.

Janine loves a good story, and she believes that more than anything else, our stories (about ourselves and the world) are what connect us. With over 10 years of writing and editing experience, Janine is an expert at panning for gold and finding the details that make an individual or organization shine. Janine writes for Fig Industries because she enjoys helping people tell their stories in a way that connects them to their target audience. Janine loves reading books, talking about books, and shopping for, well, books.

Emily loves giving a fresh face to old things. She graduated from Kutztown University and started her career as a designer at Reader’s Digest magazine. As a designer at Fig, she often looks to art history for inspiration. She is passionate about architecture, modern furniture, and collecting art books. On the weekends she can be found scouting out vintage furniture, buying new cleaning products, and caring for her cat Matisse.
